Well, I have to say, the interview today went far better than I thought. I got approved for a 10 year GC.

The IO was very pleasant. He hardly asked any questions, just a few on how we met and where we married. He asked us for 2-3 documents to show the co-mingling financial side. He then looked at both of us and he said approved with a 10 GC based on 2 years of marriage.

On the downside, he said my wife didn't need to file the I-130, but I don't care, better safe than sorry and money well spent as far as I'm concerned.

Congratulations!

My wife received 10 yr Green Card today. We are now moving towards the processing for my stepson. We are petitioning him on I-130.

Congrats!

Is anyone else still stuck on 'Initial Review" for AOS? Any new interviews scheduled?

I'm starting to get worried that, after 3 months, we've heard nothing - zip, zero, zilch - on the AOS case. If USCIS were going to meet its 4 month processing goal, I would have expected either an RFE (if there was a need for one) or an interview date scheduled by now...

So we're APPROVED!!! 2 year GC is on it's way in 7-10 days.

Interview Recap (before I forget anything lol):

Our appointment was for 1:45pm in the Atlanta, GA office on Parklake Dr. Thank God we arrived an hour early because for some reason the line was wrapped around the building and took us about 30 mintues just to get to security. Security was exactly like airport security so be prepared to take off your shoes, belts, take out hair pins, empty your pockets etc...

We finally made it to an "check-in" area around 1:15pm at which point they instructed us to go to the second floor for our appt. After a quick potty break (is this TMI?? LOL) we were in the waiting room around 1:30pm. At 1:50pm we were called in your our interview.

The IO was very nice and friendly..even joking while walking back to his office. We were sworn in and he asked hubby the usual questions (have you ever been convicted of a crime, been arrested, sold drugs, plan to be a terrorist etc)..of course Vic said no to each one. The he asked us each our birth dates, where we were born and for some reason if we were born a woman/man and still remain a woman/man respectively HAHAHAHA I thought this was a weird question??

Then he proceeded to ask how we met, how did we maintain our long distance relationship, how many siblings each of us has, the names of our parents and if my Dad was upset about me moving to Atlanta to marry my husband....BUT there were (what felt like) LONG pauses in between each question. After that he asked for our supporting documents and we basically filled his desk with paperwork (bank stmts, life insurance, car insurance, lease, 2010 tax return)! LOL After that..one more long pause then he said he was going to approve us today and gave us the run down of what to expect next. He saw we had a small photo album so he asked to look through it and made some weird remarks again about how attractive I am and if my ex-boyfriends are jealous :o Yeah like I said..weird  but all I could think about was being APPROVED!!

It sounds like a lot but we were back in our car on the way home at 2:05pm I thank God for bringing us this far and for everything there is to come. And although I don't comment a lot, I really feel you guys (my March filer crew) has been so supportive of everyone, including us, on this journey! I'll update once we have GC in hand...

Good Luck to everyone else still in the process!

I wanted to add that the picture used in the combo card is the one he did on his biometrics appointment, the biometrics appointment letter we got mentioning only the permanet resident case. The info we got on June 2 from the USCIS, that they were going to print his combo card using older biometrics, was no correct.

Congrats to everyone that got approval after inteview woohooooo

Yeah, you guys have been waiting about 1-2 weeks longer than we have. I know the list is out of date because some March filers have drifted away from posting, and it doesn't account for CSC transfers, so I was just trying to get an idea of how many people have heard absolutely nothing (about AOS) since the NOA1.

Hopefully we'll all get some news before the weekend (July!)

We've been transferred to CSC, but that happened March 24, and we've heard nothing since then. A touch on Apr 7 I think it was, but yeah, online status is initial review. Sigh. We got the EAD a while ago (though he still hasn't found a job :( :( )

So yeah. Waiting, waiting.
