Hi,

just an Advance Parole update for you: if it's been more than 3 month and you called USCIS and got the service request number and were asked to wait another 30 days it's worth it to send an email to the local field office instead before scheduling an infopass appointment with them and ask them for help. that's what i did because we want to travel to germany next week and i didn't want to put up with that waiting game. so i sent an email to the field office yesterday and asked them if they could help me, they requested an update from the national benefits center right away and the field office just sent me an email telling me that the NBC all of a sudden approved my application today and they would mail the card today. WOW!!! i'm sure it got lost somewhere underneath their piles of applications. i'm glad i did that. seems like they take their time as long as you put up with that. don't have to cancel the flights and can start packing =) woohoo

good luck to all of you!

Received my GC yesterday, exactly 94 days after mailing application. Woohoo! Its pretty cool looking, and has an RFID chip on it! Nuts. Also comes with a paper envelope that says "use this to prevent wireless communication with your card." whats next, microchipping? lol. Anyway, celebrating my new rights.

Hi Fellow March Filers, I need your help! I'm worried about my Change of Status & working permit papers. It's been 3 months now (March 21, 2011 filled) still no Biometrics Appointment Letter. I already received the receipt and the transfer letter that its in California already. But no biometrics letter appointment until now. What shall I do now? I checked all the March fillers and usually they have their biometrics done already. Hope you could help me. Thank You!

Is it normal that until now I don't have the biometrics letter? What can I do, where can I call? Thanks for the help.

Your local office might be very busy. But you should call USCIS (number on your receipt notice) and they will put in a service request.

Yes, I hope that's the reason. Hope they did not lose or mislooked our case. Im so worried and feeling so down now. Because until now I'm just here in the house waiting for it to come. I will call tomorrow morning and hope there will be answers in my case. Thank you.

As mentioned before, Go to your local "Application Support Center" (you can find it here https://egov.uscis.gov/crisgwi/go?action=offices.type&OfficeLocator.office_type=ASC) and see if they will take your fingerprints

and/or

Make an infopass at your local immigration office and tell them what is going.
