Question for Everyone....

Does the Status list help you, is it of good use?

Please let me know either good or bad...!

Yes, I find it very helpful. Your effort is very much appreciated.

I post more on the other thread (AOS March 2011) since I'm adjusting from visitor, but i visit this thread often.

Our journey update:

02/14/2011 Valentine's Day wedding

03/08/2011 Sent I-130, I-485, I-765 to Chicago Lockbox (PO Box address) thru USPS Priority Mail

03/09/2011 Found out this Visa Journey Community

03/10/2011 Package received at 6:48am

03/15/2011 Called USCIS to inform them that all the forms I sent don't have barcodes on 'em, except for I-693, was told to wait for 30 days before we hear from them

04/05/2011 E-notifications received (texts and emails)

04/06/2011 Checks cashed

04/11/2011 Received NOA's for all 3 applications

04/15/2011 Received Biometrics Appointment Notice for I-485 and I-765 (scheduled for 05/09/2011)

04/15/2011 Successful Walk-in Biometrics (05/09/2011 is week of my birthday and we'll be out of town)

04/27/2011 E-notifications received(text and email) EAD Card production in order; Online status for I-765 updated 4/27/11

05/05/2011 Received EAD card

05/06/2011 Applied for SSN

05/16/2011 Received Interview notice scheduled for 06/16/2011 (via e-notifications and USPS mail)

06/16/2011 Interview at San Jose,CA office, went well but no assurance from the IO

06/17/2011 Received e-notifications- I-485 approval and card production ordered :D

06/23/2011 Received Welcome letter, and approval of I-130

06/27/2011 Received GREEN CARD in the mail, it is indeed green!

I-751

05/10/2013 Sent in I-751 application to CSC PO box

05/13/2013 Package delivered at 11:28am

Hello March Filers

I got a question. Has anyone else here done a service request with USCIS? I filed for AOS along with EAD and Travel Document on March 16. EAD was approved after 2 month. Today I called USCIS to find out why there is a delay with my Travel Document application because I was told that it takes 3 month until they make a decision, which would have been yesterday. So I just called USCIS and they said they didn't know why there is a delay and sent a service request. I got the confirmation number and was asked to call back in 30 days if I don't hear from USCIS. WHAT IS GOING ON??? So many people got their Travel Document approval with or right after EAD and it didn't even take 2 month. Are there any other people going through this? This is so frustrating because we were planning on going to Germany this month... Thank you guys...

I know this is a silly question, but does the EAD say 'Serves as I-512 Advance Parole' by any chance? They should have been approved together and are now on the same card.. I wouldn't necessarily trust the USCIS agent to know anything about the case beyond what you can see online yourself.

Unfortunately the EAD Card says: "Not valid for reentry to US"... =(

That stinks... I just know some people miss that part because the dual purpose card is new.. Hope you hear something on the AP soon..

Hi!! Check our timeline in our signature down here. We sent papers on Feb 28 they got them on March 3 today is day 105 after they got our AOS/AP/EAD still we are empty handed. We called USCIS, they open a service request that got answered on day 30 after opening it( we inquire about EAD/AP they send a response about AOS...)! We went 3 times to info-passes, totally unhelpful! We call again USCIS, this time they promise to send card as EAD/AP was approved on April 28. Still we are waiting... In our case there are no RFE, no background checks going on, all they tell is that "all is fine", then why we still with nothing :angry: We will call again on monday and schedule a new infopass for next week. Is really depressing...

oh my god... i can't believe this. compared to you i should be happy that i at least got the ead card. I'm sorry to hear that and i hope you will hear something soon. let us know how your info pass appointment went. maybe i should try and do the same? i thought once the service request was sent they can't help you at the local field office. i also sent an email to the field office a couple of weeks ago but they did not even send anything back.

03 April 2011 - NOA (AOS/EAD/AP)

18 April 2011 - successful walk-in biometrics

21 April 2011 - NOA (AOS transfer to CSC)

25 May 2011 - EAD/AP approved

04 June 2011 - EAD/AP combo card received

16 June 2011 - AOS/GC approved

22 June 2011 - GC received by mail

Hi March filers,

I'm sorry for butting in, but I have some questions for you and from your experiences.

I've just got my interview appointment letter today and it says that my husband has to be there with me. It's set for Tuesday, July 26. My problem is that my husband will be working on weekdays at that time. Is it possible to reschedule earlier, maybe within the next two weeks when he is still under training and still on weekend shift? He just started his new job so it would be bad for him to take PTO time before he is even done training.

Will getting an infopass to have them reschedule me earlier help on this or would it just cause more delays?

Also, for those who got their EADs, did you get yours ahead of your interview appointment? I'm wondering because my interview is set just two months after my NOA (because I did the walk-in biometrics), would it mean that my EAD is also getting processed faster, or if it will go the usual timeframe of 3 months. I AM hoping to get my EAD very very soon, and hopefully before I get my greencard, because I have a very good job opportunity that has been waiting for me long enough and I would hate to lose it just because the government is taking their time giving me my required papers and my employers losses their patience from waiting for me to get authorized to work. :-(

Hello all. Hope this week leads to some good news for everyone...

Question:My local office now says the Processing Timeframe for I-485 AOS is 4 months (the standard). Before it had a date on Nov. 2010, which means they were behind. That I understand and it's good they seem to be caught up now...

Does anyone know exactly what this means? I'm guessing that is only their target for sending out an interview letter/setting an interview date, right? Since most interviews for March filers have come with about 1 month notice, I don't see how those of us still waiting for an interview date will meet the 4 month target time unless all the remaining letters are sent out this week..

One other thing.. Has anyone ever heard of an approval without an interview and no CSC transfer? I haven't but again, just wondering if it is possible that the local office is working the case without wanting to schedule an interview...
