hmmmm.... we did our biometrics on the same day.....

got notice that my case transferred to CSC.....

thought to just share.....

good luck !!!

So this is march filter. I filed my paperwork on the 21st. Did biometrics on the 18th of april and now waiting to see what's next. Wish everyone good luck.

AOS journey

31 March 2011 - Mailed thru USPS (AOS/EAD/AP)

03 April 2011 - NOA (AOS/EAD/AP)

18 April 2011 - successful walk-in biometrics

21 April 2011 - NOA (AOS transfer to CSC)

25 May 2011 - EAD/AP approved

04 June 2011 - EAD/AP combo card received

16 June 2011 - AOS/GC approved

22 June 2011 - GC received by mail

I have an update... it has been over 30 days since our AOS packet was delivered to the Chicago Lock Box on March 28th. I have not received a Notice of Action and our check has not been cashed. I called and they did advise me they had our petition and they gave us our receipt number. He also said they had received a large number of petitions in March, and that is the reason why it is taking over a month to process. So if you haven't heard anything, do not worry! They are running way behind!!

08/07/2009 - Began emailing every day

10/07/2009 - Meet in Moscow for one week

10/14/2009 - Informal Engagement

04/10/2010 - Stayed three weeks with her and family

06/23/2010 - I129F sent!!

06/28/2010 - After going to the wrong state (thanks USPS) arrived at CSC

07/06/2010 - NOA1 sent

07/10/2010 - Check Cashed and case touched

07/12/2010 - NOA1 received and case touched

07/14/2010 - Touched!

07/21/2010 - Touched!

11/23/2010 - Touched!NOA2

hello....i will like to know, after i get my EAD APPROVED can i get my driver lic.? or i have to wait until AOS GET APPROVED?THANKS FOR YOUR HELPS!

It will all depend on the laws of the state you are living. In our case (Puerto Rico) a drivers license can be issued with the EAD but will be valid for the same time the EAD is valid. :thumbs:

We received 2 things today:

First of all this morning we called USCIS to get the receipt # for the I-130 Petition we filed. The check was cashed on Friday but we did not get any text or email so we checked on it and was able to get the receipt #.

Then the biometric appt letter came in the mail today...the appt is on May 25th but we will do a walk-in this week anyway.

So things seem to be moving right along. :yes:

08-21-2008 Mailed I-129F Package (via USPS)

08-25-2008 NOA1 (This is the date on the I-797, did not recieve it in my mail til Aug 29)

12/18/2008 NOA2

12/24/2008 Received at NVC

01/05/2009 Received at USE Manila

01/07/2009 Scheduled Interview (1/21/09)

01/12/2009 Medical Appointment SLEC (Passed: Done by 1:30pm)

01/21/2009 Interview at U.S. Embassy - APPROVED!

02/13/2009 Visa Delivered

03/21/2009 Ann has arrived

AOS, EAD, AP, Petition

03/14/2011 AOS, EAD, AP, Petition mailed by Priority Mail through USPS

My hubby just received a text message from USCIS that they received our AOS Packet! Thank you LORD!!!=)

Congrats fpr ur NOA1...But i think they are taking to long with march filers Godd sometimes more than 1 mothn i guess everybody is doing Aos procces for these day.. :lol:

Yeah, somebody recently called to check on their status and they were told that they received an overflow of AOS packages all of month of March, Wonder what caused all of us to file during the month March!

Well most people wait till they have filed taxes so March is right about the target month :)

My Journey:

We met through a study-abroad program in Shanghai, China in August of 2009

We got engaged March of 2010

I received my K1 VISA in 6 months (June-December 2010)

We were married 04/02/2011
I received my conditional 2-year greencard (AOS) in 2.5 months with no interview (April-June 2011)

Our son was born 02/03/2013

I received my masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology 04/17/2013

I received my 10-year greencard (ROC) in 3 months with no interview (March-June 2013)

My husband returned from deployment 06/20/2013

My naturalization journey took 4 months (April-August 2014)

I became a US citizen on 08/01/2014

Received passport in 3 weeks (regular processing)

Frankly I'm not so sure about the "overflow" of AOS applications in the month of March. I'd be more inclined to believe that few mail bags got misplaced or were allocated to someone who went on prolonged holiday. Surely, though, the "overflow" sounds like a better excuse to give to public by USCIS, without having to admit to its incompetence. On a bright side, whatever the reason, they seem to have got round it eventually.
