Hi Everyone,

Thanks for keeping everyone updated on their current status.

As you have noticed I started a list for everyone to see where we stand.

Note: I don't update the list based on email/text notifications as sometime those are also confusing.

But in either case keep the updates coming so that we may continue supporting each other! :thumbs:

Just look at the list I Have going. The second group with blue dates, are the dates in which one received the official NOA1 The third group with pink dates are biometrics appointment dates. NOTE:

NOA1 hard copy arrived today for I-485/I-765. Quick question - the I-485 had my wife's name starting with her first name going to last name, and the I-765 had it the opposite way. I double checked and I put them right on the forms. Should I be worried about that? Thanks!

Worried, no.. But, I'd call to make sure they get it right.

In fact, this made me look at my wife's again and they got her middle initial wrong on the I-765..:angry: Looks like I'll she'll be calling too! (Just called and the USCIS # has Spanish! lol)

Hi, this seems to be an active forum. Sorry to barge in but I have a few questions, hope no one minds! I just received my text/email notifications today.. what happens once it is sent to the national benefits center?

My Journey:

We met through a study-abroad program in Shanghai, China in August of 2009

We got engaged March of 2010

I received my K1 VISA in 6 months (June-December 2010)

We were married 04/02/2011
I received my conditional 2-year greencard (AOS) in 2.5 months with no interview (April-June 2011)

Our son was born 02/03/2013

I received my masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology 04/17/2013

I received my 10-year greencard (ROC) in 3 months with no interview (March-June 2013)

My husband returned from deployment 06/20/2013

My naturalization journey took 4 months (April-August 2014)

I became a US citizen on 08/01/2014

Received passport in 3 weeks (regular processing)

Congratulations!

That is when they start reviewing your file!

You will receive an official hardcopy "Notice of Action I-797" (NOA) in the mail, which will just confirm that they received your packet and it is in the process of being reviewed.

After that, they will send you a letter for your fingers prints (Bio-Metrics)

We also got that text yesterday. It means that California just received our cases. Also- biometrics is done. Super easy and painless. So now we just wait. :)

Still no touch since March 16, today was the due date for my biometrics i am worried now that a RFE is coming and worst i dont know for what.

AOS from K-1

3/09/2011: filed I-485 + EAD

3/11: Delivered Chicago Lockbox

3/15: text and email confirmation/Check Cashed/NOA1 sent

3/16: touched

3/18: rec hardcopy NOA1

3/21: rec biometrics appointment for 4/08 planning walk in for 3/23

3/22: successful walk in biometrics exactly 3 months since POE

5/14: touched/text & email notice of EAD approval

5/16: EAD in hand

7/1: Text/email notice for interview

8/3: Interview.............Approved!!!!

8/13: Green Card in hand

What makes you think you have an RFE? I bet it's fine! :)

I dont know, i was expecting a text/email about a transfer today since i did the biometrics already and nothing, and now with the shutdown i dont even know.

AOS from K-1

My husband called USCIS this morning they said that they will be there working during the shutdown, so thats a relief it means everything is moving yet we need to be patience:)
