Hi everyone,

I am new to this site and I was hoping for some help.

Here is my story:

I am a canadian citizen that got a hockey scholarship to the University of Maine. I met my girlfriend there and we have been together ever since. After college I played semi-pro hockey in America and then went and played 3 years in Italy. We are always back and forth from Canada and the US throughout the off-season(summer). This year I came to America to train and get ready to head back to Europe, but was unable to find a good contract so waiting in the US until something came up. In the mean time my girlfriend and I decided to get married! Now I am still in the US and we want to get all the paper work done legally and properly. I have been doing research constantly because we can't really afford a lawyer. I just scheduled my medical so that will be done soon. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Sounds like you had no intent when entering the USA, so should not be an issue.
