I am a Canadian Citizen living in Canada. My US Citizen sister wants to sponsor me and file I-130. I believe that there is cap of 65000 Immigrant visas for Canadian citizens. Do anyone know as to how long is the waiting period to get an Immigrant visa ?

more than 10 years.

wouldn't it depend on hold the sibling was?

nope,

there is only one category for siblings. the same time of waiting for siblings under 21, over 21, unmarried or married.

what you are talking about is parents who petition children. there is a big difference when children are under 21 than over 21. and USC parents petitioning unmarried children compared to married children.

but siblings there is only one category for all.
