packet 3 still waiting

Hi i am UK based beneficiary and called the NVC today and they gave me my LND number and said that they received it on the 28th Feb 11 but it has still not left the NVC to the consular, when i asked her how long it will take, the very rude woman said it could be about 2 -4 weeks before it leaves them is this correct?

i guess this means i cant send in any forms to the consulate as they would not have logged it, all i can do is book my medical

any advise?

Try calling DOS and seeing what kind of status they have listed for your case. Or call NVC back and hope for a nicer person to see if they say the same thing. There was a time a while back where a number of K1 cases got "stuck" at NVC so it has happened before, but I'd double check before accepting rude lady's answer, if only for the peace of mind that it was the correct answer.

Hello. You can book your medical ASAP, but they want you to have your police certificates first. So if you still need to do that do it first. It can take 2 - 4 weeks, but I beleive that's TOTAL from the time it arrives to the time it gets shipped out. The USCIS approval has an expiration date the NVC needs to adhere to, and that means shipping your petition to London in a timely manner. I would suggest, however, once your package is sent to London wait no more than 2 or 3 weeks to receive your pack 3. If it doesn't come by then call the Embassy. There are several of us on here who never received our pack 3. My fiancee and I lost a month waiting for something that was mailed off in January (we called at the end of February and they told us it had been mailed a long time ago). If you get all your DS documents ready to go, however, when your pack 3 arrives, or you call and find out they mailed it but it got lost, you can send in your documents the same day. It will keep things movin as quckly as possible. Sorry they were rude to you at the NVC, but the people at the London Consulate are much friendlier. Good Luck!

i have everything ready all my DS forms and police certificate and I-134's so just waiting for it to be logged at UK CONSULATE.

when i called before i remember them saying they dont usually hold onto k1's as there isnt anything for them to do with them.

Very helpful thread. I am about a week behind you. I called DOS today to see if my case had left NVC because even though it only arrived 2 days ago, I've seen on a few members timeline that it left within a day. I guess I'm just being a little impatient( ) but I'm ready for this to be over. My fiance too has all the documents ready to be mailed out as soon as we hear London has received our case. His medical is booked for next week!!!

Well i called the NVC and i was informed that my case is in additional processing which is why it has not left for the consulate yet.

does this mean it could still be months before it reaches the consulate? has anyone been through this before?

please help!!!

You do know that the NVC does not send you Packet 3, right? The Embassy does. If you're waiting for Packets from the NVC, you wait get it. It goes to the Embassy and then you wait for them.
