Long Form Birth Certificate

I keep reading that the "long form" Canadian Birth certificate is needed. What is this "long form" birth certificate? I have my original birth certificate and as far as I know it's the only one that exists. It is slightly bigger than a credit card (unlaminated) and lists my name, date and city of birth, and a variety of numbers. Is this the long form?

Why the hell would you pick on someone because they cant spell..... FFS people can have many reason for not being good at spelling....

There are several ways to get this .. If your in Kamloops like your thingy says you can go to the courthouse ( goverment agent office ) And fill the application out it's 27$ and you will get it in approx. 2 weeks or 60$ for rush service and you get it DHL'd within a day or 2. You can go online and order it ( i have never done this so no idea how long it takes ) You can call and order it regular mail or rush ( Credit card service only )

the wallet size one that we all get is not an "original" its just a form of ID. The long form is needed so they have your parents name and can do background check on you and your family tree.
