Hi Recardo thanks for responding I notice that I accidentally posted my question the wrong forum i thought i posted in the tourist thread

Anyway since you answered me and you are from jamaica let me tell you my situation to see if you can give me some advice on what my husband should do

My husband lives in Jamaica I live in Georgia my husband and I 1 year wedding anniversary is coming up on May 10th

He wants to take off work and come visit me. Mean while I filed thr I30 form for him in November and we are still waiting on approval. Is it possible that he can come visit me on a visitor visa? any success stories in doing this and what all would he need to prove that he will go back home after visiting. My husband works, taking care of his daughter, and have a valid passport. What do you think he should do it?? thank recardo

Not to worry the necessary adjustments will be made to put the post in the correct section. Your husband can apply for a Tourist visa. The application ask if he has any family member/s in the USA/purpose of his trip. It is not likely he would be given the benefit being sought after because the I-130 was filed and he he's a potential candidate to "abuse" the visa they might think. Having ties to one's country/Jamaica is more than having a child or two since many children are raised by the grandparents etc. Having a GOOD and stable employment would help even though that seemed to carry no weight in the past. He should definitely try though from my view there is a 80% chance of him not being successful - on the right side he would get to see the lay out of the embassy.

Thank for the welcome yeah it is ridiculous and yes I do go see him but it costing me too much money and I already got to pay for the filing etc..I really hope it takes only 8 months for him to get here that would be a blessing. I just went down there for 2 wks in January and time is flying so quick i do not think i can afford to go down there in may for our anniversary unless I go the cheap route. I did that in January I want to do something special for our anniversary.
