My fiancee has been approved and will be flying to Boston on March 15th. Does anyone know of a reputable low cost option for shipping personal effects? My fiancee probably has two pallets worth of stuff she would like to send here but sending via air will cost several thousands of dollars. Boat would be great but it's last minute now and I have no leads so any help is appreciated! I would be interested to know what some here have done in this circumstance.

Thanks!

Consider Freight consolidators. Cheapest option but may take awhile. Otherwise will be a fortune.

Google international freight shipping. There are many in BKK. Most shipments of this size are sent on planes. At some point it will arrive at a POE in the USA. Possibly LA or Long Beach. There you will need to get it thru U S customs. You can do it or pay a service to do it for you. They can have it turned over to a trucking service to be sent to your address anywhere in the USA. This is also very expensive.

I would advise you to make sure you know exactly what this costs. It could prove cheaper to buy it all here rather than pay the fess. It isnt cheap.

My husband had me buy all new clothes in Thailand & leave most of my other things for my family. That was the right thing to do. Here in the USA I replaced the Thai items I really wanted which proved to be much cheaper to do.
