Contacting embassy

I received a letter on Monday 7th March (yes this Monday!) telling me my interview is THIS Friday (11th March) at 9am. There is no way I'm able to be there at such short notice.

On the Monday, as soon as I read the letter, I phoned the embassy to tell them about the issue and they told me there's nothing they can do over the phone and I have to email londoniv@state.gov and gave me a code to put in the subject title of the email. They told me to include my case number and name so I did that. I haven't had a response from them yet. Is this normal? If they don't reply by Thursday what on earth do I do?! Am I even emailing the correct address? I'm really quite annoyed that they schedule things at such short notice for people, then expect them to ring an expensive phone line to acquire an email address they don't get a quick response from.

The address i emailed when contacting them regarding my K-1 was londonconsular@state.gov. You should get an acknowledgment email back within a few hours... They were quite speedy replying to me (had to email a few times)... Hope this helps

Thankyou Gregandmichelle, I emailed that address but I didn't need to!

They eventually did reply from the londoniv@state.gov address on Thursday morning, and rescheduled my interview for March 28th. So relieved.

So for anybody else worrying, they do take some time to reply!
