Hello

I am new to this forum and a friend of mine found it to be very useful. Can anyone please explain to me the process?

My wife and I have been married for 20 years and lived in the UK for most of that time. She is British and I am American. We have 4 children. All of them have American passports. My wife only has a British passport. I am now in the state of Florida and am employed and intend to stay in the same employment. We would like for my wife and youngest daughter to move here (the 3 elder are all in University in UK). I know it is possible but what we need to know is the sequence of events and how long it takes before they can move here. We are just trying to plan things as accurately as possible in order to organise the sale of our house in the UK and the school transition for my daughter to be as non-disruptive as possible. I would appreciate as much detail as possible. It is my understanding that to begin the process, I submit an I-130. Is this much correct?

Yep you start by filing an I-130 to USCIS
