Has anybody ever had there wife go to the interview and successfully pass it with her old passport? like the passport she used prior to getting her name changed? I have decided not to bother with a new passport, all you need is one that has not expired yet, we dont really have time to get a new one anyways. When she signs the ds-230 in the interview she will sign it with her name since getting married like all her other forms? or would it be the one on her passport that she got before getting married? The NVC letter(the one telling us our interview date) had her name written as it was on her passport for the first time in the whole case despite her signing it differently. I would appreciate it if anyone can help

Her passport can be different to what she is signing now in her married name. We all have to go through that and have name changed on passports so it should not be an issue. You can change it when you have time or when it is due for renewal. Just when you travel you need to carry marriage cert with you along with GC, NO worries.
