Don't know about England but in Canada you have to tell them at the medical about ANY depression and if you were on medication for it and what kind. Then generally before your medical can be completed they have you see a therapist to determine your mental health. But that depends on the doctor as well, if they see fit they may not have you follow up with a therapist.

Your I-129f was approved in 5 days from your NOA1 date.

Your interview took 67 days from your I-129F NOA1 date.

AOS was approved in 2 months and 8 days without interview.

ROC was approved in 3 months and 2 days without interview.

I would also think that if you were treated and released...etc...then that would be on your records that you were able to overcome those issues...i totally can relate to that as well...my 4th child was difficult delivery and i had emergency surgery after..along with sleepless nites nursing and trying to recover its so hard on your system...but with good health care and support from family all things work out...it sounds like it was dealt with well and you shouldnt have issues from it... good luck!!

I had emergency surgery too. It was awful. I just really hope they don't make a big deal about it cos post natal depression is common and I'm fine now.. It was ageeees ago. I'm probably just overly worried and stuff. Thanks for ya replies though :)

It is really common so I wonder if for things like that they would just listen to you explain the medication and what went on then complete the medical for you. Without needing any kind of further look into it. Again tho I only know Canada's and shared my experience. Hope you end up worried for nothing and its smooth as a medical can be!

It shouldn't affect it, especially if you didn't try to kill yourself or someone else. Worst thing that could happen is that they send you for a psych evaluation.

I had PTSD in the past, including counselling and being on anti-depressants. The doctor at my medical said as it was several years ago and I didn't try to kill myself, he wouldn't even put it in the report.
