So for my uncle's case, we have gotten the NVC case number MONTHS ago but when I try to check the status at the USCIS site, it won't work. His date is June 8th, 2002. Does anyone know what date they are processing now for I-130 for sibling?

Dont' know the answer to that but I can tell you that we have yet to see our case online as well...I have to call USCIS about ev 3 weeks to check on our case...I usually have to talk to a 2nd tier as well since the first tier never sees it in their system so they send me to a more in depth dept...they tell me that it is an IT problem and many ppl dont have their case online...they do say to keep calling about ev 30 days just in case an RFE has been sent and we aren't aware of it...

Just call USCIS and tell them you want to speak to a 2nd tier to get info on your case...it's important that you do incase they requested RFE and u werent aware of it...

But if its already at NVC i dont know if you would see it at USCIS you have to be sure to use the NVC case number ...but I'm not to that point yet...so someone other than me can asnwer that for u that knows more...

Good luck..

You would have to call the NVC or DOS and ask about your case not use the USCIS status checker.

Your I-129f was approved in 5 days from your NOA1 date.

Your interview took 67 days from your I-129F NOA1 date.

AOS was approved in 2 months and 8 days without interview.

ROC was approved in 3 months and 2 days without interview.

Ok so I called NVC and the automated voice told me they received Affidavit of Support in December 2010 and we should have gotten something in the coming weeks and we didn't. What is the next step after affidavit of support has been established?

One more question, my aunt also sponsored my other uncle and his family at the same time in 2000. His wife passed away soon after she filed the I-130 and he passed away last year. They have four kids.......is the petition closed or can the kids still come?

If you were to have gotten something in the mail you should call NVC again and speak to an agent or call DOS and find out if you were sent an RFE or something. Make sure to ask if it was sent but returned to them as undeliverable. Its very important to stay on-top of cases because things can slip away so quickly.

I think if both their parents are dead and a family member adopts them, if they are of a certain age they might be able to petition for them as adoptive parents but i'm not completely sure. You may want to start a new topic to ask that question.

Once the beneficiary is dead, the case is over. There is no way for the derivative beneficiaries to immigrate.

Adoption will not work because it requires two years of legal custody. The US is wise to the fact that some intending immigrants have adopted a relative so the relative can immigrate too. That's a no-no.
