Hi, I am currently a poor full-time college student, so I haven't been able to travel to meet her yet, and probably won't be able to until I graduate in 2-3 years. Wanted to know if anyone had any ideas for me. If she applied for a temporary work visa and came here would it cause problems later if we decided to get married? Or would she most likely just be denied the visa since she has a boyfriend in the US? Sorry if these are answered anywhere else, my situation just seemed kind of unique compared to what I saw on here.

Having a boyfriend won't get her denied a work visa. Some visas will allow her to stay if she gets married, some won't- ie they may require her to go home for 2 years. What qualifications does she have to apply for a work visa?

Me: Irish/ Swiss citizen, and now naturalised US citizen. Husband: USC; twin babies born Feb 08 in Ireland and a daughter in Feb 2010 in Arkansas who are all joint Irish/ USC. Did DCF (IR1) in 6 weeks via the Dublin, Ireland embassy and now living in Arkansas.

Work visas require her to have a job in the US - does she have that? What qualifications does she have?

Can she visit you on a tourist visa?

April 15, 2014 APPROVED. Wait for oath ceremony

Waited...

September 29, 2015 - sent letter to senator.

October 16, 2015 - US Citizen
