I never wanted to be in SS. If I could have opted out I would have. IMO they are stealing from me. I would be very happy if they just gave back what I paid in and let me forget about the pension.

So you question the constitutionality of SSI?

What other insurance are you hoping to get a 100% return on what you've paid into it?

Your assumption is incorrect. People accumulate more wealth as they get older - retirees have way more money than the young people paying into the system.

Well, it's reasonable to argue, though, that those that accumulate the most wealth are the same folks that surpass the SS taxable income. So, if you'd exclude those wealthy retirees from benefits, those would largely be the same folks who are today spared the SS tax on a portion of their income. You want to shaft them later and I say that there's not much of a difference if you shaft them now. The administration of the latter approach would be a heck of a lot easier than that of the former.

Why should I be forced to buy insurance? I don't want it and I shouldn't be forced to pay into it. I am taking care of myself thank you.

You aren't forced so stop lying that you are. You are free to go live in another country if you don't agree with our tax policies.

What a complete load of BS. You really do amaze me with your stupidity sometimes.

Believing that obeying the laws of the land including tax laws is forcing you against your will is anti-American at best and anarchist at worst. But of course, you are entitled to your feelings.

That is you opinion, of course that isn't worth much. I think it is anti-American to force something down our throats just because of your feelings. SS was unconstitutional when it was passed and it still is. The only reason it got through is because of the worthless FDR packing the SCOTUS. He should burn in hell for the damage he caused this country.
