In no way bragging...I had low hopes upon finding out that Vermont was moving at the speed of a slug! My NOA1 date was in late January! So I open my messages expecting to see an RFE and was dreading it! Imagine my shock when I see my petition approval or NOA2 and that its heading to the Natl Visa Center! OMG!!

My advice to to others...use Visa Journey's guidelines and form examples to maintain a thorough package and pray!!!!!

No offense to your package preparing skills or your prayers, but I think it was more like dumb luck than having a well assembled application (although it does help avoid RFE's).

Congratulations on the speedy approval. :)

Congratulations! Good luck on the rest of the process. The truth is that no one can provide the actual reason why some get approved faster than other. Let's just be happy for those who do. Congratulations!  :D

Congratulations to the OP!

I also don't think the DR has anything to do with it - it's just coincidence that there have been a couple. I've been waiting over 4 months. My speculation (based on what I've read in other threads):

1) It was pulled at random for training purposes or

2) VSC is processing some more recent packages in order to maintain an overall "average" timeline of 5 months.

Well, it looks like VSC is starting to do the same thing CSC has been doing in approving recently submitted petitions. I called CSC 1 week prior to my 5 months, talked to a TIER 2 ISO and got her to override the 5 month requirement for a service request. I have my NOA 2 now, one week after calling.

Good luck to all of you.
