hi guys,

me and my fiance will get married next week but in an attempt to get things done we went ahead and did the vaccinations transcription on the I-693 already so my surname on the I-693 is my maiden surname.I want to change my surname after marriage to my future husban`s so my question is: is the I-693 ok with my maiden name or do we need to do it again after marrige?

Thank you!

Won't be a problem, you'll have other documents that are still in your maiden name too, in all likelihood.

Timeline Summary:

K-1/K-2 NOA1 - POE: 9 February - 9 July 2010

Married: 17 July 2010

AOS mailed - Interview : 22 November 2010 - 10 March 2011

ROC mailed - approved: 14 February - 18 June 2013

Citizenship mailed - ceremony: 9 February - 7 June 2017

The I-693 doesn't count in the "forms" list, it's just a medical. If you didn't do it (because not everyone has to) your K1 medical is still in your maiden name and that's not an issue either.

Just make sure the I-485, I-765, I-131, G-325A, I-864 all have your married name as your new name. The I-693 is just an evidence document, like your visa, and passport and birth certificate.

Good luck.
