how long to receive passport

hello everyone

can anyone please tell me how long does it to get back passport from montreal..its been 3 weeks i sent my passport to montreal after they ask me to send it..i called dos they said you are approved..

please anyone suggestion

You don't get it back from Montreal you get it back from DHL.

You register for a DHL location and when the visa is printed you get the waybill/reference number from the listed website and call DHL to see if its there.

Did DOS say your approved or say that its PRINTED? BIG difference in the two. Your passport could still be sitting in their mail room.

thnk for your reply..well dos said you are approved..but didnt say anythng about printing...well i said my passport through dhl location i choosed..just wondering how long it might take ...

I would call DOS again to confirm if it was printed or not yet. If they say yes ask them if they have a date for when it was printed.

Unfortunately Montreal opens their mail at a slow wait and I would assume that your passport is probably sitting in the mail room collect dust at this point. That is if DOS says that they have yet to receive your passport or have yet to print the visa. I truely hope that this is not true and that it has already been printed. In the past it has taken anywhere from weeks to months for them to return a passport that was sent in after the interview.
