My British fiance just got his police records back, and we were both under the impression that it would say "Trace" "No Trace" or "No Live Trace". However, his says "Drunk in a public place- Caution" and "Possession of Controlled Substances-- Class Not Specified-- caution". Both are dated roughly 10 years ago

Now here's the story, he got drunk in a public place, and was escorted back to the police station for his own safety (no official arrest was made as far as I know, he was just too drunk to move so they took him to the station.) When they searched him they found 1gram of cannabis on him. They cautioned him for both, and told him basically to just not do it again. He hasn't smoked weed since then. My question is whether or not he will be denied a visa for this one thing? Obviously he's going to be honest about it, but I was just curious as to what his chances of denial would be. Has anyone had any prior experience with an old (8-10 years) weed related offense, who was either approved or denied? Trying not to freak out lol, but any input would be appreciated. :)

The one little thing involves drugs, which makes it a very big thing, especially if it is appearing on your police record. He might/will be denied and will have to file a waiver.
