I have sent out my AOS package last Wednesday, and now I am trying to patiently wait for the NOA. Very recently I have been offered a possibility for a job- which, of course, I cannot accept yet, since I am still an F1 and need to get the EAD first.

I know it is early stages for us, but at what point do you think I could try to speed up the EAD process by getting in touch with my congressman? Right after biometrics? Also, do you know if I should provide the congressman / USCIS proof of a job offer, or is it enough if I just ask my representative to get in touch with USCIS and request an expedited EAD?

All advice, as always, is greatly appreciated.

Well seeing as how you have a job offer you would qualify under the "severe financial harship" criteria. You should definitely give it a shot after you get your bio done  . Maybe try a walk in. What I did was...I did a walk in. Looked up my congressman online. Filled out their privacy form, faxed that over along with a letter explaining my situation and a copy of the biometrics receipt. Received a job offer on Monday. Called the rep and informed him and 1 hour later I get an email from uscis saying the ead was approved and is in production.
