List of all visits to the US on DS-160 form

Hi everyone,

I just received my letter from the Montreal Consulate and have begun filling out the forms for Package 3. One of the questions (#35) on Form DS-160 asked me to list all visits to the United States. I have lived in Windsor, Ontario my whole life and this city is right on the US border to Detroit, Michigan. I have made hundreds of day trips and vacations to the United States since I was born, most of which I cannot remember. How do I answer this question on form DS-160?

I was faced with something similar as well when I was filling out the form... I know I had been two Michigan twice, by car, but could not even remember the year, even less the month those trips took place!

So what I did is I wrote down the visits I took while dating Chris, and tried as hard as I could to at least remember one trip to the US prior to meeting him... Someone pointed out to me when I was running into that problem that they want to know the visits you have been doing since getting engaged... I don't think they really cared about knowing exactly when I went to Wild Wood with my family when I was 4...

I filled out the same information I put in my supplement for the DS230 but then the space filled up and wouldn't let me keep typing, so that did it for me.

I filled out all the most recent trips I could remember and then wrote "various other day trips" in the last spot. It got accepted! Good luck!

This is correct. Made many trips myself and all they want is the recent ones and ones you spent to see your loved one. The rest if you made a ton just say you made a bunch of various trips for shopping etc.

Howdy...I'm from Windsor too. When it came time for me to fill out the DS 230 and DS 160, I was kinda confussed on what I should put down as well. Me and my now husband have been together for a long time. So what we did was put down as much dates as we could fit on the DS 230 of when we where together and then wrote down the most recent dates on the DS 160. Never had a problem with it, they never asked about it at the interview either. Hope all goes smoothly in ya'lls process

Thank you for the information. Does anyone know what the "type of visa" I should list on question #35 of form DS 230. I've never actually had a visa since Canadians don't need one.

Also, any idea if a National Identification Number is the same thing as our SIN?

They really don't have that question (# of trips) worded correctly for Canadians. We called and asked because it was bordering (haha) on ridiculous. They told us that all they were looking for was overstays so to just put down "Numerous trips but none lasting longer than X amount of days/weeks/months."

We put "Frequent Visits over the last xx years due to proximity to border". It worked just fine. They understand Canadians take a lot of trips to the US.
