What to wear to the interview?

I'm an active duty officer in the US military and I had heard from a friend that he was going to wear his uniform to he and his wifes interview when they meet with the consulate. Our interview, when we get it, would most likely be in Montreal; so my question is could I wear my dress blues to the interview? Just curious.

It won't most likely be in Montreal. it WILL be in Montreal

You can wear your uniform if you like, nothing wrong or against it. We did the business casual thing - I'm sure you'll be fine either way

I don't think there is anything wrong with wearing your uniform. I "dressed" up like I would for an actual interview, but there were plenty of people in jeans, dressy clothes, business casual, etc. And yes, it WILL be in Montreal as canadian_wife mentioned.

Nothing stopping you from doing it. Make sure that it is permissible since you are not on official orders or on official business. I remember when I was in the Army it was against our post's rules to wear any uniform off-base unless one was in the United States or a US territory/possession. The only exception was if one was on official business or travel orders. (note this was in the 80s and 90s) Good luck at the interview.
