Hi guys.

My girl is finally divorced.

Does the VN divorce decree need to be translated into English and/or notarized when submitted?

Thanks.

any document written in a foreign language to be submitted to the bureau of Immigration and naturalization services (USCIS) must be translated in English and notorized.

There is no requirement that the translation be notarized or done by a certified translator. Anyone who is competent in both the foreign language and English can do the translation. The translation must be accompanied by the translator certifying that the person is competent in both languages and the translation is accurate.

I translated my own documents and included the certification block outlined in the following link;
