Hi all.

We filed in February, and got the NOA1 on Feb. 18th. I of course immediately tried to use the receipt number to check on the My Case Status page thingamajig (https://egov.uscis.gov/cris/Dashboard/CaseStatus.do) and it didn't work, but I just figured it hadn't been set up quite yet and it would take some more time.

However, it's now been a few weeks, and it still gives the following error message: "Your case can not be found at this time in My Case Status. Please check your receipt number and try again."

Do I just need to wait longer? Or does it mean that something is messed up with my account? Anyone have an idea of what might be going on with it?

I guess it's not that vital that I be able to log into My Case Status because it'll be, what, five or six months months before we get any more updates from USCIS (unless god forbid there's an RFE...) but I need something more than Igor's List to obsessively check on.

Unfortunately sometimes they don't post cases online. It sounds like this may be what happened with yours. You can always call for updates though. They will tell you exactly what you would see online.

Keep in mind these two words: "Initial Review" Every time you feel the need to check your status online just remember those two words.

You would pretty much get 100% of the experience as if you had online access to your case!

I applied in January and mine still says it cannot be found. I called after receiving the NOA1 and was told they have a database problem and that the phone system uses the same database, but that my case did, in fact, exist.
