Thanks for the input Coconuts. I was aware of the thread you are referring to. My intention was to solicited some responses from September NOA1's directly as the topic indicates. I can also see from your timeline that you should be happy that you didn't have to go through the VDS. My sincere congratulations to you and your significant other.

Then you should also be aware of the forum it is posted in and its purpose...

moving this thread

YMMV

I've called twice since hitting the five month mark and they've been working on Aug 21 filers for the past two weeks! Yesterday, they offered to put in a service request (both Tier 1 and Tier 2 reps), but the computer would not allow it. He said to wait 32 days, but he's basing everything on that August 21 date. He said the regular processing time is now 6 months. I told him 32 days would be 6 1/2 months for me. No response. I also told him that some September as well as later filers have already been approved. Again, no response. If it takes 6 1/2 months plus another 3 - 3 1/2 for London consulate and NVC, total wait will be around 10 months... UGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!! The VDC is driving me crazy!

NOA1 dated Sept 15th. Still waiting. As watching VSC Sept progress closely, I would say most of petitions are yet pending. So if the speed of VSC stays at the same level, October filers may expect news in April.

Of course hopefully it would be earlier, but thts the real state of things. Gluck !

Yesterday was a complete day of total failure by the ignorant baboons at the Vermont Disservice Center. At this rate, even September filers will not see anything until September.

The callous and irresponsible thugs at the Vermont Disservice Center are threatening everything that I worked for and built my life around these past two years. They need to put the goddamn video games away and do some work for a change.

Our petition was sent 9/21/2010, officially received the 23rd or 24th depending on which drone I get on the phone. Online it says the 24th. My NOA-1 is officially the 27th. I have contacted a congressman and two senators. I got a service request very easily about 3 days after the 5 month mark. If they tell any of you they can't because of the computer it's a big lie. I got up to a "tier 3" the first time I tried and all of them were just too lazy to do anything. They would rather argue with you than take one minute to do it. I called a couple days later and the tier one lady did it without question. Just say you feel it's taking too long.

Good luck everyone!

09/21/10 - I-129F Sent!

09/23/10 - I-129F Received in Dallas, TX

09/28/10 - Text & E-mail NOA1 (It was at 12:44AM, weird) Notification that our case was transferred to VSC.

09/29/10 - Check cashed

09/30/10 - NOA-1 Hard Copy dated Sep. 27, 2010

10/03/10 - TOUCH!

After numerous calls to USCIS, my two Texas Senators and a Congressman, the latter got an "expedite" put through (if you can call a month and a week after ONPT an expedite). Just never let up! Even though mine took way too long, there were people who were a month before me and waited longer because they just sat back and watched. "The squeaky wheel gets the grease!"

03/31/11 - NOA-2!

04/05/11 - Received NOA-2 hard copy.

04/07/11 - NVC Received

04/12/11 - Case left NVC via DHL

04/14/11 - Consulate Received Hard Copy of Case

I think we should rename the NOA to something more appropriate...

My NOA1 date is September 9, 2010. Last touched on October 3, 2010. I just got off the phone. The customer service guy confirmed that the "normal processing time" was 5 months as stated online and on their internal database, and so he was about to process an expedite request. Then, all of a sudden, he was told that he is unable to process since the Vermont Service Center has now changed the "normal processing time" and I need to wait 17 more days (i.e., March 25) before I am considered to be outside of the "normal processing time".

The conclusion.. 197 days is now the "normal processing time" at VSC.

Like everyone else, I'm supremely frustrated. I know people that work for this agency...come late, leave early, and spend half the day joking with colleagues... with no care about the heartache and suffering of thousands of people who must wait and wait due to their lack of diligence. And they want collective bargaining rights.. ha!

There is something else that starts with "a", which is what I really think of the Vermont Disservice Center, that worthless slimeball Obamination and his sleazy sidekick Napolitano Bonaparte, but we are not supposed to use foul language here.

People have told you numerous times that wait times were bad under Bush as well (perhaps not for YOU), yet you continue to blame Obama. Fascinating.

Obama is simply the face of the government and surely any attacks on his name are not personal. I am sure if we knew the name of the USCIS Director we would see those too. If you aren't frustrated with the situation and obviously the government, I want what you are taking.

They will keep saying they are on "august 21st" until mid-month. Then on the 15th or so of the month they will get a new update and spew that one off at people for a full 30 days. So that's why you have been hearing "august 21st" for a month now and next week we should have a new meaningless date to latch on to.

I am beyond 6 months now. My case has been sitting on someone's desk for 26 days, which I confirmed with a tier 2 person yesterday, who put in an expedite. I am supposed to hear something in the next 4 days. I'm not holding my breath. (No, that's not true, I am totally holding my breath, but I'm not optimistic because I've heard so many lies before. I fully expect to in the same boat next week.)

09/02/10 Mailed I-129F

09/07/10 NOA1

03/17/11 NOA2 approved

06/06/11 Interview. Visa approved. Told we'll get visa in 7-10 days. Lies.

07/12/11 Visa in hand

07/15/11 Arrival in the U.S.

07/21/11 Marriage

07/28/11 Mailed I-485

08/03/11 NOA for I-485

08/29/11 Biometrics

10/17/11 Greencard interview. Approved.
