Hola!!

Gracias!

Please, your fiance will be fine. Contrary to what Hollywood portrays your fiance will get a good job as long as they are hard working, educated and can understand and speak our language, English. Right now it is difficult to get a job in the U.S. b/c of the ECONOMY, not b/c of discrimination, so be warned it may take a lot of interviews and will take a while.

Woah there, you'll be fine! As we all know there are people in the US that discriminate against Mexicans, but something interesting about the US is that for every type of person out there you can find someone that will discriminate against them. That's a downside to a country full of diversity and freedom of expression. But luckily, you're not alone! People identifying as hispanic are the next largest ethnic group after white and make up 16% of the US population. Unfortunately not many live in PA where it looks like you are located. If you're worried about it than maybe your new family would feel more comfortable living in an area where there is more Latin flavor like AZ, NM, CA, TX... you may find less discrimination and more people who you can relate to. (Did you know that New Mexico is 47% hispanic?! and that L.A., CA has the second largest population of Mexicans after Mexico city?!)
