IT was released. I was talking about the book..

Anyway, Have fun,.

you wrote a book while in prison? what was it called?

" Between a ROCK and a HARD place " .

Don't just open your mouth and prove yourself a fool....put it in writing.

It gets harder the more you know. Because the more you find out, the uglier everything seems.

And if you mean the visits are the opposite of guilt, then why does anyone bother to be upset about the PM's unwillingness to accept responsibility for the past? Or to come back to my previous question why should Japaness people feel guilty but Americans shouldn't?

I personally didnt oppose. So No guilt here no guilt there...

White guilt, especially in US is a more complex stuff. You cannot grasp what it is just from Wikipedia. Read the book "White guilt" By Sheldon Steele. I was released 4-5 months ago. And thats what Im talking 'bout.

We were speaking about different issues.

We are? How do you know? And what makes you think that I don't understand white guilt in the US?

I'm sure we're talking about the same thing, but your comment makes me wonder if you think that the American past is somehow different from the past of other countries, which is something I totally disagree with. The Japanese have their past to deal with and hold their government responsible for ignoring its responsibility to make up for past injustices. Americans have their own past to deal with; pretending it's all in the past and accusing anyone who disputes that as riddled by white guilt is not going to cut it nor is it going to prevent future injustices.

And since we are exchanging book tips, take a look at "White Wealth/Black Wealth" by Melvin Oliver and Thomas Shapiro and at "The racial contract" by Charles Mills. Both books are about 10 years old, but expose quite well that so far not much has been done in addressing past injustices.

The Fact that you gave reference to irrelevant Wikipedia article suggested that we are on different topics. Our views are not neccessarily different, but we were speaking about different issues.

I will definitely have a look on your books, But 10 years is a lot of time.

My book (and I) was talking about present issues associated with White Guilt. Not general, But only specifically US related. And specifically - Present Time". States this on the cover. General issue is just too broad.

"Not much has done in addresing" - Very true. Steele's book is talking how much was done very wrong. And thats worse.
