Hi, all. This site has helped a lot in finding good and solid information from everyones experiences. I filed the I-130 on Feb 22, 2011. I have not received the NOA1 yet but did just find out that USCIS has cashed my check today. I will be filing for the K3 visa as soon as I receive the NOA2. My questions are regarding my Indian foreign spouse.

1)

a. She will be moving to another apartment within her same city. Do I need to update USCIS with her new information?

b. If so, when and what forms will I need?

2)

a. Since she will be moving to another apartment, does her passport need to be updated with her new current address?

b. If her passport needs to be updated, should we update her passport with my last name? I filed with her maiden name and was just planning on changing it to my last name when she got here. (Our marriage certificate also shows her maiden name)

Thank you so much for your time and help. :)

In a nut shell you don't have to update USCIS with the new address. You will have the opportunity to get that submitted at the NVC / Consulate Level so communicated documents can reach the applicant..

Awesome, thanks Ricardo4eva2 and Raj1975. I will inform the NVC/Consulate at that level and time.

Also, will it be necessary for my wife to change her name and address also in her passport?

She can change the name in her passport of she chooses to... Might make travelling easier than to question her identity..... However not a requirement. She can book her ticket in her madien name.

Address in passport I would not change.. People move all the time 2, 3 times a year no one has the finance/time to keeep changing passport worst if payment is required. Someone from her country can touch on this country-specific question.
