Hello,

Need Helppppp!! Iam a Ghanaian and i have been in a relationship with my woman who's from the US for a year now and we are planning to get married soon and start or process. But i have a problem and i fear they may denied me of being with her...Why, because she had criminal records in the past but has be given a certificate of release..I want to know if this is going to be a problem or do i still stand a chance of gaining my visa if it's time for me to go to the US embassy here in Ghana for the interview.

Every comments and opinion will really help and be appreciated,so post them.

if i read correct where you said "she had the criminal record"

and if she is the petitioner then, you will be fine, she is the

US citizen, what they are interested in is your background (benificiery)

so as long as your background is fine. it will be alright.

If her crimes are serial in nature or particularly violent the USC can be denied by DHS. She can also be denied for multiple petitions (more than 2). Even if she is approved you must make sure that you are aware of all her crimes and be prepared to possibly discuss them with the CO at the interview. I firmly believe that once a person completes their "sentence" then their price has been paid to society. Good luck.

May love and laughter light your days,
and warm your heart and home.
May good and faithful friends be yours,
wherever you may roam.
May peace and plenty bless your world
with joy that long endures.
May all life's passing seasons
bring the best to you and yours!
