You'll need to file an I-90 (free because of USCIS error so you'll need to show that it was their mistake) to get a replacement card. The card itself will take several months to come. Once you receive the NOA1 from the I-90 application, you'll then make an Infopass appointment showing your itinerary and NOA1 from the I-90 application and get an I-551 stamp (GC stamp). In the even the NOA1 takes a while to come make SURE you have a copy of everything you're sending so they (at the Infopass) can see you've sent it and are just waiting on the NOA1.

No I wouldn't risk travelling on an incorrect card.

No, AP is now invalid because the reason for it (to pursue an AOS application) no longer exists because now you are an LPR. Make an Infopass and get a stamp in your passport - you could do this now and show them the card and tell them you are sending it away to get a replacement and need the stamp. Be polite, but don't take no for an answer - you are an LPR, and you are asking for proof of your status, not a favor. Good luck!!

AOS for my husband

yeah, congrats on your GC and sorry to hear there're errors.

it happens.

a friend of mine, she applied GC for her daughter. and It took 2 yrs to correct the errors on her daughter's GC 3 times. First time, USCIS got her sex wrong, she's a female. but on her GC, it stated "Male".

my friend sent it back to correct, and when she received the card, it still "male". and then she sent it back the 2nd time to correct it. USCIS surprised her by made another mistake on the GC for the 3rd time. USCIS corrected her daughter's sex, however, spelt her name wrong. Holy!!!!

yup, took her 2 years to finally received the GC with correct info on it.

Hope it will not take you that long.

Good luck, lots of luck to you.

XH
