Well mine was on 3/24/2011. But hey it seems like the months going fast hehehe (I might just be saying that just to make me feel better lol) anyways we're more the half way of April so I just hope June-July or even earlier we can start seeing NOA2s going around. It sucks because if I didn't go through with lawyers my papers would have been filed January. But stupid paralegal was taking her sweet time. I thought hiring a lawyer will release some stress but I guess wrong. Yes I don't have to fill out the docs but I still stress calling them every now and then just to make sure they're doing their jobs getting everything ready for NOA2....

History:

Husband and I were childhood friends (neighbors)

Came back to the Philippines 2004 which we hanged out

1 year of courtship

2005 we became official

2006 went back to philippines for vacation

2010 went home to the Philippines March-September

My heart is beating super fast when I enter this site hahaha! I just hope that when I open my eyes one day and see my NOA2 APPROVED.

Our IR-1 Timeline

03/--/11: I-130 package sent to California Service Center by lawyer

03/16/11: Package delivered to USCIS

03/18/11: Received NOA1 hardcopy

03/21/11: Touch

06/21/11: Received e-mail: case transfer to local office for an interview

06/27/11: Received letter in the mail

07/05/11: Received e-mail: case was being processed at local office

07/08/11: Interview appointment on Aug9, 2011

08/09/11: Interview went well

11/07/11: Husband called USCIS and put on a request. Get a reference number. The officer said will get back in 15 days

11/22/11: Called USCIS found out that I-130 approved since 11/9/11

It's driving me nuts!!! I have to keep my mind busy on something other than missing my husband. I have started to collect more evidence and asked him to start getting his certificates together. I know we still have to away a few months but I really need to keep myself busy and work aint cutting it lol!!

I totally can relate i miss my husband also. I've collected all i can collect hehe. my paralegal suggested I make a binder (scrapbook) full of our evidences. and I did but now what when i'm done with that hahahaha...I've been just keeping my mind off of this petition. Been just concentrating in work and studies cause if i don't i'll go crazy hehehe... but for sure i wont be able to keep my mind of it for so long i'll be going crazy june-july hahahahahaha!!! But seriously even though it's only been 2 months I'm so excited!

police report

taxes or transcripts from the irs

beneficiary will need to know 10 year work history

marriage certificate

divorce decrees if needed

those are a few things to keep you busy :)

What do you mean long form and need to know 10 years work history??

When the paperwork is being sent to the NVC a long form birth certificate is going to be needed. Some countries issue 2 different types...the UK does...long form and short form. You'll need the beneficiaries long form birth certificate. Also when you are filling out that next set of paper work there's a form DS-230 that is also to be filled out/dated by the beneficiary and part of the information required on this form is a 10 year work history. So just saying if you/beneficiary have had several jobs in the last 10 yrs you'll need all the information regarding these jobs.
