Hi,

I file I-130 for my wife

Feb 28 2010 met her for the first time,

Dec 27 2010 met her for the second time. Proposed the engagement.

March 3 2011 married

March 22 2011 sent out I-130 to Chicago Lockbox by USPS certified mail.

March 28 2011 received NOA1 by text message and e-mail.

April 1 2011 received hard copy NOA1 by USCIS.

Wow really 50-60 days! Oh how I wish that can happen for everyone here. My fingers are crossed also!!!!!!

History:

Husband and I were childhood friends (neighbors)

left the philippines when I was 6yrs old

Came back to the Philippines 2004 which we hanged out

1 year of courtship

2005 we became official

2006 went back to philippines for vacation

2010 went home to the Philippines March-September

We were married on 18 Feb. We sent off the I-130 on 25th March and received our NOA1 on 30th. I am now back in the UK and spending far too much time on this site!! :blush: My husband is a LPR. He filed his N400 in January, had biometrics on 17th Feb and is now waiting for his interview date.

Yes I'm hoping that all this talks about government shutdown won't affect our petition process. We all just started so I'm hoping for a smooth sailing through this visa journey.....
