no i haven't gotten anything yet. :(

the letter is probably the NOA1 hardcopy which is basically saying they gotthe petition and stuff and which service center its going to..

you guys are so lucky you got something. my stupid lawyer didn't sign me up for the text nor the email.

I know how you feel, we sent ours in 9th of March, and my Husband didnt get tracking on the package so we didnt even know if they got it! He called USCIS, and they said they had received it, and they are sending out the receipt in the mail right now (So i assume that is the NAO1). But i included the E notification form, and havent had a text or email at all!

We sent the form first on the 25th of Feb (but it got sent back due to my husband writing the wrong amount on the money order!) luckily i complied the forms out!

Anyway, the petitioner can call them so they should be able to let you know whats happening.

Husband and I were childhood friends (neighbors)

left the philippines when I was 6yrs old

Came back to the Philippines 2004 which we hanged out

1 year of courtship

2005 we became official

2006 went back to philippines for vacation

2010 went home to the Philippines March-September

That's right, Kimgi! You made me laugh! We are all in the same waiting boat. I don't know how I will make it 5 months of waiting (for approval alone!).

I'm glad that there are some nice people here so we can have a support group of sorts.

Got the letter from USCIS from California our NOA is 14 of March 2011. And notice I made a mistake on the I-130 form. Wrote my own birthday wrong, i hope they could fix it when I call up.

Form I-797 is a "notice of action". It is used for NOA1, NOA2 and RFEs. Maybe that's where the confusion was.

And yeah, I'm missing my husband so much! He doesn't have any more vacation days left until July and we (mostly him, really) don't want me to risk wasting the time and money flying 20-some hours only to be denied entry. I'm not working at the moment, and I live with my parents so would be hardpressed to show strong ties. :cry:
