For those of you that have received your NOA2 how many of you have been able to get your NVC number? I think I've only seen 1 that was in the June approvals. Just trying to get an idea. NVC stating that they still don't have my file which was approved over 3 wks ago. I'm trying to determine if it's just mine or if everyone is waiting.

There are a few threads floating around on the California USCIS NOA2 approval -> NVC receive delays as of late... I saw four or five last week: Two with NOA2 dates of 5/31, one from 6/7, one from 6/13, and I think another from 6/14 ... Seems like they all had to call NVC to get the ball rolling, You are past the 15 business days - call NVC and get them moving on your case :)

Anyone have the email address for NVC for requests regarding the transfer of your file? The guy gave it to me on Friday night but I've left it at home and I'm going to send a copy of my receipt as it's gone beyond the 15 business days. Thanks!

Still haven't received my RFE that USCIS says they sent out on 6/24. I called today since they couldn't do anything about it until the 15 day mark. The gentleman said that he would send a service request out and I should hear from them by 7/26.(is there anyway to follow this request?) I asked how long I had to respond to the RFE and he said 30 days. I asked him how that was going to be possible since it had already been 17 (sat was the 15 day mark) and I still have to wait to receive the new one in the mail. Plus have time to get together what ever they are requesting.

USCIS said that if I don't send in what they need with in the 30 days my application would be denied.

Has anyone else ever ran into this problem? Is there anything I can do about the time frame?

Thanks everyone!!

I would call and ask for the tier 2 immigration officer. when they ask what the problem is, make it sound complex, otherwise they will hesitate to transfer you. if they don't transfer, let the call quickly (and politely) run its course, then call right back. when you get the IO on the phone explain that you havent received your notice yet and see if they can check on the hold up. sound a little insistent that you don't want to artificially delay your case waiting for a notice. you could ask them to resend it. when I did that, the original was generated (I had called on 23rd, was informed that a notice was sent on 13th, and I hadnt received an email or text indicating so) the next day (24th). about 10 days later, the reprint showed up. on the 24th though (the day after my call) I got text and email notifications. i wonder if sometimes they forget to click the little "update" box. Keep calling until you get notification.

Mine took about 17 business days, or 23 "regular" days from NOA2 to getting my case number. I found out afterwords that they had received it on the 1st of July but it took them about a week to get it into the system.

However I forgot to ask for the Beneficiary ID... and now we can't fill out the choice of agent form lol... oops =D Gotta call again today!

Well I got a response from NVC stating they would contact USCIS on my behalf which I appreciate however there's nothing about them contacting me back to give me an update. So really it doesn't do a heck of a lot of good to contact them via email because you still aren't going to get an answer lol.

I called again today to make sure that they were resending it out to me and she assured me that they were. I did explain to them that the first notice was sent out on the 24th of June but it must have gotten lost in the mail. I am so afraid that the respond to date is going to pass before I can get what ever they need back to them. I am also afraid of a denial due to that reason as well. But hearing someone went through the same thing does make me feel better. How long did you have to get your response back to them?

While you wait for this rfe , I would recommend that you start putting together the passport photos you sent earlier of yourself and your beneficiary (seeing that this may have been misplaced). you may also ensure that you put together birth certificate and the marriage certificate (in long form) as well as additional proof of your marriage since any of this may have resulted in your RFE.
