Ooooh.. sucky deal. The RFE was on 6/24 and you still don't have a hard copy? They are really taking their time with mailing things out.

Yeah no kidding. I just hope it's something simple and easy and I can get it to them right away. Hopefully after they receive it I can expect an approval shortly after....fingers crossed.

I was wondering how long you have to reply to an RFE. I haven't received it yet but was told today by a tier 2 rep that they mailed it out on 6/24.

Not sure what it is for either. Can I call USCIS and get that info or do I have to wait for the hard copy? I would like to be ready to send it out when it comes in the mail to be a little ahead of the game.

Thank you !!

Tomorrow will be 15 business days for us since we received the NOA2. In a way I'm glad it's taking a bit of time because we weren't expecting to be approved so quickly! We haven't received the police certificate yet so I suppose even though it's holding it up as far as the next step since we are still waiting on that paperwork I don't feel THAT bad lol

Today is 15 business days for me... I called and the lady said that they received our paperwork on July 1st, but it hasn't been processed yet. She Estimated the end of next week should be enough time. (I assume due to the holiday they're probably a bit off hey?)

So - Progress!!! =D

Congrats! Nice to see they are starting to make some progress again. Make sure you keep on top of it - if they start working on the approvals that seemed to have piled up in the last few weeks there is going to be quite the bubble in the system.

Hello everyone,

I started this thread and since then have not posted once. Here's why:

I felt pretty guilty when our I-130 was approved within 19 days of receiving our NOA1. It was shocking. Then, I realized that CSC was rushing (expediting) all applications for Japanese beneficiary's because of the March tsunami. Still, my wife wasn't even close to the tsunami, so I felt guilty and bad for the rest of you on here who had to wait months in CSC like normal people.

Since all of this, we made it to NVC and now as of Friday are finished at NVC (just waiting for our paperwork to be forwarded to an embassy-and scheduled for an interview of course). It took us almost 90 days exactly to get through the NVC process because we were a bit slow and were RFE'd.

Anyway, if anyone has questions about any part of the whole IR1/CR1 process through to case completion at NVC, please send me a message or post here. I want to help you guys!

Congrats on moving on through! I'm sure we'll all be needing any advice you have before too awful long. Good luck on the interview step and you will now be our official "go to" person :)

For those of you that have received your NOA2 how many of you have been able to get your NVC number? I think I've only seen 1 that was in the June approvals. Just trying to get an idea. NVC stating that they still don't have my file which was approved over 3 wks ago. I'm trying to determine if it's just mine or if everyone is waiting.
