Is it just me or does it seem like USCIS has backed off giving out I130 approvals? It doesn't seem like there are as many going through as there was a couple weeks ago.

I think you're right - it does seem as if some weeks there are loads of approvals and others very few. There have been very few this week according to Igor's list - and most of those have been April filers! And next week is only a four day week.

I called NVC twice last week. I will probably call again in Wed just because I think people will be flooding them with calls after the long weekend. Hopefully get some info this week to move along!

I've been calling the automated system every day (minus the weekends... sometimes, lol) and no luck yet... Will talk to an operator/supervisor on Friday if I don't hear anything!

This waiting, paired with knowing we're so close, is slowly driving me mad!

I call them every night.. When I was approved on June 20 I thought I had a very good chance of a September interview. If NVC gets it into the system this week there is still a chance but much more and I slip to October for sure.

Anyway they must have a lot of operators because I have never had the same one twice. Most of the time they have the "10-15 business days, please call back in a long long time" spiel.. Twice now they have asked me to read different parts of the approval notice to prove i have it in hand.. On Friday I was told that the holdup was on the USCIS side - they have not been mailing the cases to NVC in a timely manor.. The change in quotes went from "It takes 10-15 days to get into the system" to "The USCIS has 15 business days to mail us your case, we have not received it as of yet".

I am curious what they will say now that I am officially in the window, hopefully I won't find out what they say when we have exceeded the 15 business day window..

I hope this is the week I get my approval.

Does anyone know if there is a certain time of the day when USCIS releases the updtated info on the visa's? I hate checking on there every hour..

The RFEs seem to be updated in the morning sometime and the approvals in the evening. I was monitoring a fairly large group of CSC I-130s fairly closely but they just suddenly stopped getting updated on the USCIS website. I finally called USCIS and was told I was approved by a tier 2 person (right after being told by a tier 1 person that I had not been approved - they only have access to the website information)... received the hard copy a few days later. The USCIS website *still* has me at the initial review state none of the others I was monitoring have been updated (other than the RFEs)... I don't put a lot of conifdence in the USCIS website being accurate at this point.

Well I did call USCIS and spoke with a tier 2 operator about 1 1/2 weeks ago. I was told it was still under review. Guess it couldn't hurt anything to call again and see if I get the same answer.

Well I called USCIS and they said that on 6/24 they sent an RFE out. I haven't received anything in the mail yet so hopefully I will soon as I am crazy to know what its for. I am happy however that they are working on it.

As the status above says...My case still shows uner inital review as well.

Ooooh.. sucky deal. The RFE was on 6/24 and you still don't have a hard copy? They are really taking their time with mailing things out.
