Didn't receive email notification, only text message. Not sure why but hey I am still happy. I believe mine was sent to the CSC.

Yep, the important thing is getting a response from them and that they know you exist! :)

Man, mid march already and there only seems to be two unapproved march VSC filers according to VJ timelines..... my processing estimate says

There are not enough recent approvals in the timeline system to accurately approximate when your I-130 will be approved. Please see the Timeline Stats page to see recent approvals.
:bonk:

According to the timeline, someone(no link to profile) who submitted march 1, 2011 flew through VSC in record time! NOA1: march 4.. NOA2: march 11! :wow: I wonder if it's an error or something. If not, I would love to know how that happened!

On the blue menu bar up top (by the google search box) you'll see "immigration timelines". Look under the statistics heading on that page and click on the first link - "Processing status: Igor's List". You can choose to filter by type of visa and the service centre to get a picture of what's going on with others in a similar situation to you (the march filers should be at the bottom of the page). The data is only based on the timelines that other people on the forum have filled in, but it kind of gives a rough idea of how things are moving.

11 days is scary fast in my opinion. And while I would welcome it with open arms, I think I would also feel really bad to have jumped to the head of the queue when others (May 2010 is the earliest active poster still awaiting approval from VSC that I know of) have been waiting and waiting and waiting....

Either way, here's hoping for a reasonably speedy process for all of us! :star:

Hi! wow we sent our documents at the same time but you manage to get your NOA1 notice already. I wonder whats holding mine up?

Anyways I think a NOA1 hard copy is just a notice that says they have received your petition. and I think a marriage certificate is okay because my lawyer just sent them the I-130 along with 325A of both my husband and I and our marriage cert. and my husbands birth certificate from NSO. And usually you'll need proofs "evidence" during the interview. anyways I'm glad i can compare our time lines. wheres your husband if you dont mind me asking?

Haha. I think a hardcopy is so called because it physically exists... as opposed to a softcopy which only exists digitally. I dunno, may be wrong.

Kimgi, from my months of obessively trawling VJ before we even started assembling our petition.... People seem to have issues with lawyers all the time on these forums. Sometimes it's a small mistake or oversight, but sometimes it can cause problems that delay the process for a long time! So, just so you are aware, not all lawyers know what they are talking about or have your best interests at heart. I'm not saying your lawyer is bad but just an observation that's been echoed by many of the more experienced VJ-ers here, I think if you decide to keep using one, it's still important to stay on top of the process and double-check everything he or she tells you. :)

I hope your NOA1 arrives soon!
