My fiancee will arrive in NYC from Moscow therefore NYC will be her point of entry. As far as her initial immigration paperwork, will i be able to be there with her if I fly in from Detroit? I plan on meeting her there in NYC, but I am curious as to how it will work for her immigration processing.

As said before you would not go through customs with her, if you flew in from Detroit, but man you better be there waiting at NY lol she would die if you weren't :help: Just kidding hope it is an amazing reunion for you.

If it's JFK, the customs area will dump everyone out outside of the screened airpot area. If you are on a domestic flight you won't be able to go meet her inside anywhere, or go through customs, so you'll have to leave the secure area of the airport and wait with everyone in a huge crowd for the people for come out from behind a secure area. It feels a bit like a being a zoo animal when you leave the area - open the doors, and suddenly people are all looking eagerly to see if you are the person they are looking for... lol. But if you are the one waiting, you will be able to see everyone that comes out so you can find her. Good luck!
