about I864A...I need help pls!!!

Hi all

I need help please!!

I am filling the affidavit of support, my question is? If I am the joint-Sponsor with my wife(we made the taxes together), and we live in the same house with the sponsor.. we'll filling the I864A each with my wife?

You and your wife are completing the Affidavit of Support on the behalf of someone else...? Your questions isn't clear.

Current cut off date F2A - Current 

Brother's Journey (F2A) - PD Dec 30, 2010


Dec 30 2010 - Notice of Action 1 (NOA1)
May 12 2011 - Notice of Action 2 (NOA2)
May 23 2011 - NVC case # Assigned
Nov 17 2011 - COA / I-864 received
Nov 18 2011 - Sent COA
Apr 30 2012 - Pay AOS fee

Oct 15 2012 - Pay IV fee
Oct 25 2012 - Sent AOS/IV Package

Oct 29 2012 - Pkg Delivered
Dec 24 2012 - Case Complete

May 17 2013 - Interview-Approved

July 19 2013 - Enter the USA

ok.... my questions is...? we have to complete two forms i864a, one for me n one for my wife? (we are the joint sponsor n we made the taxes together)...

i hope you understand me.. my english its not 2 good.. :wacko:

Understood. You dont have to join the petition JUST because your filed a join return with your wife. The income could be itemized / split and if the income is sufficient then the case is in the clear.

i know what u mean... but,, we got to reach the poverty guideline...that's why.my question

I would assume that you are filing an joint-sponsor affidavit of support for someone else.

The main petitioner must file I-864 and select 1.A, select 8. and select YES.

You or your wife will file I-864 and select 1.D and select 8. and select YES and enter the name of the spouse in 24.B who file I-864a.

The petitioner completes form I-864. If petitioner's spouse is a joint sponsor they would complete form I-864A.
