In case anyone dosn't know it already this was a joke

The pictures were posted as a joke

@ Dan and Judy... Above is a look at your contributions to this thread.

The medical exam is one of the biggest causes of worry and stress for loved ones who have already been waiting a long time to be together. Failure to get a clean x-ray means more waiting, more stress, and possibly being diagnosed positive for TB. Apparently that's a joking matter to you since you decided to derail this thread.

I guess one conclusion can be made from this thread. is drinking milk helpful before taking the medical? yes, it may help reduce anxiety and stress.

Yes, I get it. It's really very simple: first you derail the thread with your off-topic bad joke, then when you're called out on it you avoid owning up to your behavior by trying to change the subject.

If you have an on-topic response to the OP, here is your opportunity to provide it.

And...here I come!

I had 2 tetra packs of sterilized milk few hours before medical and it didn't work at all.

Still had to do the dreaded sputum test. Ugh! :bonk:

Chinook and her friend both had their medical on the same day. Chinook didn't drink any milk leading up to the medical, yet she had a clean x-ray.

Her friend drank pasteurized milk leading up to the medical, and she flunked the x-ray. She was required to undergo the sputum collection, the smears, and the eight-week TB culture. Fortunately, her culture was negative for TB.

Both Chinook and her friend were familiar with the widespread belief in the Philippines that drinking milk before a chest x-ray could hide TB scarring. Despite the fact that Chinook's friend graduated in nursing from one of the top universities in the Philippines and knew better, she still bought into the misperception.
