I-130 Intending Address

Hi all,

I'm in the process of checking-over my I-130. My only question is that my permanent residence is in another state than mine and my wife's job offer. I'm kind of unsure what to do here as we'll be using the letters of job offer to establish domicile in the states. I have other documents such as an old car tax bill etc that can establish my permanent residence (along with a bank account). I'd just like to know if there should be a problem that our "intending residence" is not in the same state as our job offers. We don't have a place in that state yet. I guess you all can see my question.

since you dont have a place as yet to provide an address then you should use your current address. You will have the opportunity to update/change this at the NVC stage, consulate level or port of entry.

I put my current residence even though I did not intend to stay there. When I actually moved I did a change of address with USCIS and used that address on the DS-230. We did not have any problems.

The problem with current address is that I currently live in France. By current address do you mean to put where my permanent residence is in the United States? And then update it as soon as we know where we'll be living?

Ok on page 1 of the form you can put your address in France.

Page 2 of the form asking where you intend to live (or the spouse) you can put your mom, sisterm heck any address you INTEND to live once the spouse immigrates. If it helps your current address has no baring on the petition you just have to prove to the US consulate abroad you will relocate to the USA... So thats should be your domicile they will require proof such as tax return, maintaining Financial resources in the US, apartment lease etc.
