I have a quick question...I am currently engaged, my fiance is from Argentina. As far as avoiding processing times and complication, would it be better to go for the K1 visa and bring her here, or go down there and get married and be able to apply for a K3??

K3 is dead. The currently available spouse visa for this circumstance is the CR1 but it won't save time or avoid processing times. You also can file the I-129F petition now, as long as you've met in person during the past two years, where you would have to wait until after you arrange to marry before starting a spouse visa process. If you haven't met and are willing to marry on the first visit, yes the spouse visa will be less complicated from filing through to the ten year green card two years after her arrival and will allow her to work or travel internationally immediately after her US arrival.

Facts are cheap...knowing how to use them is precious...

I'm from Argentina too!we applied for a K1. We started the whole process last october and are still waiting for some news. I don't know if k3 visas take longer, less or just the same amount of time. I think in both cases it depends on which center your petition is sent to. The Vermont Service Center is processing petitions really slow at the moment, for instance. If you decide to go for a k1, I can give your fiancée information about the medical and other stuff US embassy in Buenos Aires asks for to have the interview.
