I met my husband in March last year, I came to visit on VWP last summer, and left before my 90 days was up and returned to the UK, my then boyfriend came with me to meet my parents etc. He was to return in Novemeber, and his parents bought me a return ticket to spend thanksgiving/Christmas with them, and I came back with him on VWP. We got engaged at Christmas, it was a surprise! I didnt expect it so soon, but was very happy, just after Christmas my situation at home changed (I lived with my parents, my mum is disabled and just after Christmas my dad suffered an onset of MS, and lost his left side, he is now also disbaled, I had been living with them) due to this, knowing my parents could not support my return really ( they had to move to a more appropriate home, my sister had to move in to care for them) we decided we would like to get married, and I stay here with my husband. We married in the middle of January. We got a lawyer on-board, who advised us to file an AOS before my 90 days was up. We secured their services, I had my medical which went fine and filed before my 90 days was up at the start of February. Our lawyer filed an AOS, with request for employment authorisation, and advance parole. We recieved notification of all this and I have my biometrics appointment on Friday. I was browsing through the site, and see some things my lawyers had mentioned nothing about, like these new laws? I never overstayed, I filed within my 90 days, but does that mean anything? Id never heard anything about it?? I have never been married before, I have no criminal record, and this is definatley a bona fide marriage, I adore my husband and couldnt be without him. He is divorced, and no criminal record. Neither or us have children...yet. Do you think I'll be ok? I am 23, he is 32 and has a good job, my dad-in-law also offered his info for affadvit of support, but my hubby made enough. We just moved into an apartment together after we married. Im really worried now!

The issue with the VWP is all about the overstay. If you didn't overstay, you shouldn't have a problem. That's why it was so important that you filed during those 90 days and not after. Congrats and good luck!

Sounds like your lawyer is on the job.
