DOS giving K-1 interview date?

Hello I am looking for some friendly advice, for a K-1 visa.

My fiancée sent her packet 3 back to the embassy about two weeks ago and we have been waiting for her packet four to give us the interview date. She recently read online you can call the Department of State to find out her interview date, so I proceeded to call. When I called the first time they confirmed her given and family name and our case number and told us our interview date is April 13th. The ladies accent was a little hard to understand. I proceed to call again later that day to 100% of the April 13th date before I buy my tickets.

The 2nd call was answer and told no interview date, confirming my fiancée name, our case number from the embassy again, and for some reason wanted my fiancée passport number. The new lady sounded upset and insisted we didn’t have an interview date. This is the exact same phone number as called before (202-663-1225). This made no sense; it was 100% the same phone number and department.

Waited a day to call back (3rd call), This new lady is saying our K-1 visa interview date is April 13th. She spelled out both our names case number and birthdays. I have no wish to call many times and be annoying.

Do you think it is safe to assume our interview date is April 13th and ignore the lady that said no date is scheduled?

Has anyone else called the state department and been given the correct interview date before their packet 4 is issued to them?

I found EXCELLENT prices on tickets and want to buy them today or tomorrow before prices go up as they keep doing.

we have always been told that the dos will know the interview date,my fiancee just called to see if ours is set yet and got told nothing is logged? would be great to find out if theyre a little hit and miss on this stuff

Embassy's and Consulates are part of DOS so the interview date should be correct and it also implicitly implies that the P4 has been mailed out.

I would wait a couple of days to actually have the P4 in hand before making reservations.

Most airlines will allow you to hold your reservation for a a few days before you have to confirm and pay for it.

DoS Hotline shares data with GUZ IV - so if some problem with a Human at DoS Hotline, it's ok - call back to vette each data bit that you get from the previous call.

Thank you for your replies everyone. I am going to go on and assume this is a safe bet (98% sure the date is good), I will post back here if we find out otherwise!
