hello all! how do I proceed on my 8 year old daughter's K2 visa-follow to join?... My K1 visa was issued on October 21, 2010..She is still in the Philippines and were planning to let her come here by june.. any help will be much appreciated..thanks everyone..

Your daughter has I think just a year to follow. If you were granted a K1 visa Oct 2010, she has until Oct 2011 to follow.

Your daughter should be here before your K1 visa expire.

Your daughter has I think just a year to follow. If you were granted a K1 visa Oct 2010, she has until Oct 2011 to follow.

:thumbs: the k-2 Visa has to be issued within one year from date the k-1 was issued. the visa application procedure is basically the same as for K-1 Visa. If your ready now for the child to follow to join, I'd contact the Embassy's Immigrant Visa Unit when it reopens March 9th to ask the procedure for follow to join. the child will need a medical and have an interview for the Visa. if your not at the interview, a guardian can take the child to the interview. for the interview, the child will need passport, birth certificate, DS Forms 156 and 157, but not the ds 156k. also will need I-134 Affidavit of Support.
