Entry to the USA on a work/student/tourist visa then later marrying and then adjusting status in the USA.

Work and Student tend to not get questioned as to intent upon entry, if they are going to school or working and then found someone and married, a tourist on the other hand may get questioned as to their intent when using a tourist visa to immigrate, and persons who enter on a visa waiver program, in some places get the most scrutiny as to intent.

If already married prior to entry on the tourist visa then intent becomes a bigger factor to consider.
