My husband and I use Skype to communicate. We also use his cell but its a pay as you go so no record of calls. How does one print off anything from skype?? I can't do a screen print of communication and can't get how to print off any messages sent. Any help would be appreciated. On another topic, I have not read anywhere that anyone has ever had to show the book of proof of relationship at the interview. Should I still have one put together??? Wasn't that already proven when I sent the package in the original I130???? We have just paid our IV bill so now waiting on instructions of what to do next. Am filling out the DS-230 to have it ready when they say to send it. Thanks.

I used Skype logs as well and ran into the same problem. What I did is open my fiancee's window, scroll to the top and show previous conversations. At certain places in the log, I hit Alt-PrtSc (Alt key and PrintScreen key at the same time) to copy a picture of the window to the clipboard. I then pasted the picture into a word document using right-click paste. I did this for several places in our chat lot with various dates and snippits of our conversations, maybe making and printing 6 to 8 pages. I hope this helps.

Archived Skype Chat History

To view archived chat sessions for a specific contact, select the contact from your Contact List and go to “Contacts” > “View Chat History”. A browser window will open showing your previous chat sessions with the selected contact.

I may have printed the sessions to a PDF or TXT file, I can't remember. We have close to 1000 pages of chat for a 2 month period even with using mostly video on chat, so my husband will be taking a USB with the files if proof is required.

Apologies if I state in a comment that my husband and I have been together for years & years. It's just that I can hardly remember a time when he and I were not together.

Ahhhhhhhhhh!!! We are currently in Administrative Processing with no time-lines to guide us!

My husband is looking at cars in Trinidad for me as his wish has come true! Me a Trini-Wife!

BUT

I will call DoS weekly to check the progress and I will not give up hope.

July of 2011 is the cut off date for us, when I will either start construction on a home here in the US or return to Trinidad to be with my husband.

Thank you all for your help. You would think it would be easier but I will try the copy and paste thingy. When we first met we had over 1000 emails back and forth from the website we met on. We never knew where this would lead so never saved them and have since lost them all as we basically went to phone instead. But under a monthly fee for the phone company they dont send details of when calls were made so lost them too.

There's a wonderful program I use to get my call logs called Skype Call Exporter. Program discussed here (5th post explains how to use program): http://forum.skype.com/index.php?showtopic=87531 Program can be downloaded here: http://forum.skype.com/index.php?app=core&module=attach&section=attach&attach_id=68991 If you want to see all chat logs, go to this thread: http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/261846-skyp-call-and-chat-records/ and download the first program called Skype LogView. I use both these programs and they're amazing for Skype call and chat logs.

the skype chat logs are made as .db files means u need a small ms-dos program to be able to read them u if u dont wana waste ur time looking for ms-dos programs then just copy the logs from skype directly then paste in a new word document, for voice conversations u could use mp3 skype recorder u have voice options as bit rates for the quality of the sound.

USB is unaccepted. Not allowed to bring this item into the embassy. They cannot use this as evidence, cannot put it on their computers, open it or anything.
